The Wizards got started in Chicago, Illinois in 1961. Their name was the Packers. In1962 the Packers, changed their name to the Zephyrs. A two disappointing years in Chicago,the team moved to Baltimore, Maryland and became the Bullets. In 1973 the Bullets moved to the Capital Center, in Washington,D.C.
They called them selves the Capital Bullets for one season, then changed their nam to the Washington,
Bullets.
