Dreamer, was the nickname for Hakeen. He was born in Lagos,Nigeria. He came to America, and went to the University of Houston. In college he spelled his name Akeen, but later changed to Hakeen. In 1983 he was named out standing player of the NCAA tournament. Hakeen, was the first player chosen in 1984 NBA draft. Hakeen, was voted the leagues most valuable player and the Rockets,won the NBA.
