Jackie Roosevelt Robinson, was born in Cairo, Georgia. At 5 years old the family moved to Pasadena, California. Robinson, was the target of racist threats and hate mail. Robinson,died of a heart attack in 1972.

Walter Payton

Walter, was from Mississippi, he went to Jackson State University.He broke all kind of records. In 1975 the Chicago Bears used their first round pick to select Walter, as the running back chosen in the draft. Walters record for most rushing yards in a single game remained intact for over twenty three years. In 1984 his tenth NFL season he broke Jim Browns,all time record for rushing yards He was the Bears backup punter and placekicker. He retired in 1987.Walter,nickname was Sweetness. Mike Ditka, said Walter was the best football player ever period.
